Time Management Tips

To complete your course and unlock the infinite potential that it holds for you, time management is crucial. Time mismanagement can derail you from your career path. But it is a skill that is not only important in one’s studies, but in life as well and you can learn it. This is how:

  1. Realize that a day has 24 hours

Time does not change. All we can actually manage is ourselves and what we do with the time that we have.

  1. Create time management goals

Remember, the focus of time management is actually changing your behavior, not changing time. A good starting point is by eliminating your personal time wasters.

  1. Prioritize

Start each day with a time management session by prioritizing the tasks for the day and setting your performance benchmark.

  1. Learn to delegate

No matter how small your task is, there is no need for you to be a one-person show. For effective time management, you need to let other people carry some of the load.

  1. Set time limits for all tasks

Set a time limit for all the activities that you want to undertake such as social media, games, study, home activities and stick it for the rest of the day.

  1. Be organized

Organise yourself and the things that you use in a room to enhance fast retrieval and more concentration on the task your handling.

  1. Don’t waste time waiting

We all have to wait for some people or things sometimes but you don’t have to just sit there all day! Always take something to do with you, such as a book to read, a notebook to scribble your thoughts, a laptop to catch up on your assignments or a smart phone to answer your emails.
